The Methods Manual outlines ‘better practice’ methods for community consultation and engagement in the planning and implementation of initiatives. It provides practical details of the community participatory processes, drawing on experiences throughout the Supportive Environments for Physical Activity trail in the South-East Queensland community of Eagleby and Public Health initiatives across Queensland. It presents targeting adults, young people and people of diverse backgrounds. Each method is divided into seven categories: purpose, features, budgeting, the step-by-step process, key roles, relationship to Supportive Environments for Active Living and further information.
