Operational Plan Tools
The Operational Plan Tools section provides practical information on how to implement the objectives, strategies and programs suggested in the Corporate Plan Tools section of the resource package.
While council’s corporate plan documents its intentions, the operational plan deals with how to implement these intentions. The operational plan addresses specific outcomes, internal processes and performance measures to implement the corporate plan.
The aim of this part of the resource package is to provide councils with further information on programs that can be implemented to achieve supportive environments for physical activity and healthy eating. This includes initial suggestions on how to start to implement the strategies or programs, as well as useful tips and lessons learnt from other councils. The section also provides some useful data sources to gather further information on these programs.
The programs selected here are based on those developed and implemented in councils across Australia. The programs consist of practical ideas which have assisted with achieving the key goal of healthy people and places.
