Brisbane City Council has constructed a best-practice ’bike room’ for its employees. The air-conditioned end of trip facility has separate cycle tunnel entry from Bicentenial Bikeway along Brisbane River to the cycle room and non-slip green bike lanes through the car park to the cycle room. It also includes

• 150 bicycle racks
• seven female and nine male showers, toilets and disabled facilities
• change facilities including change bench, separate vanity areas
• 150 lockers, notice boards, ironing station, towel, shoe and clothes drying racks, water coolers and bicycle pumps.

More than 130 employees use the end of trip facility daily.
